the show days

I've decided that I'm going to post some photos of me and my horses when I was showing youth on my paints and quarters.

my old paint mare annie and roxanne my mom's BLM mustang we got when I was 12, she's 15 this year.
this is Hawkeye, he was a BLM mustang I tuned up for a friend. He was super cool and sweet.

oh Carlton, my 4 year old paint gelding. When this guy lopes, you get goosebumps! He's coming along great and he's going to get a refresher course with Kellie Hinely this month. I'm excited!
Wesley, my 6 year old quarter. He's the Ramsey family's lesson and show horse and enjoying his backyard days.
This is Mikey, he was previously abused before I got my hands on him, and LOOK at him. He is by far the coolest, most talented horse I've ever swung a leg over.

hunt coats and hairy horses

well the kids got their show clothes this weekend and i'm super stoked at how cute they look! :) Down side, the geldings will have to be shaved..lol. it's a "hairy" horse show, but if you know me I have to roll in the place like a friggin ROCKSTAR and be the best of the best. Hopefully the boys will act right, and the kids will get ribbons. :) Carlton needs his mane banded..so i'm having to look up braiding tutorials online so it looks right..haha. I have NEVER braided a horse before, so it should be interesting how it turns out.

the walk/trot princess

So I have this 5 year old girl, Taylor, who friggin ROCKS the walk trot on my paint gelding. I honestly didn't know my WESTERN horse could stretch out and do ENGLISH! He likes it cause it keeps his mind fresh. I'm so excited for the both of them to be going to thier first show on Feb. 1st! It's a novice show, so she will be competing with kids at her same level. She will bring some ribbons home for sure! :) Her brother, Austin, is also doing the walk/jog on my old show horse who is a walk/jog GOD so it should be a good show all around.

I've been chosen!

Well guys, I'm super excited to share that I have been chosen to compete in the Norco Extreme Trail Challenge with TWO mustangs!! Yes I said two! My mom has decided to jump in and help me with them, and we are more than psyched to be working together. We go to pick them up on Feb. 13th in Ridgecrest, CA..whoo hoo! ROAD TRIP! it's going to be a blast!

On the client side, my 8 and 5 year old are getting ready for their first walk/jog show coming in Feb. They are coming along great, and I'm very happy with how their horses are working for them..since they are my old show horses, they better! :)

More tomarrow, as I VOW to keep this thing active!
